MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR
This has been a year like most of us have. A year of the blessings and trials.
We had a very cold winter and late spring this last year. The snow was very cold and wet. We had some nights in the minus. It is pretty to watch.
My poor dogs could not go out without the snow freezing between their paws. So I got on line and found a site for making dog booties.
After several night in the below zero weather our home was one of the few in town that the pipes had not froze. Our son and family came during the day to be able to cook and use the bathrooms.
Working bathrooms are important with 5 children.
We made good use of the time by some playing games, some doing computer work, some sewing, and then making pizza for supper.
My hubby got to teach a few Sundays in our little church, while our beloved pastor had a knee replaced.
The last of April I got a phone call that my dad was in the hospital and had had a heart attack. They were not sure if he would last through the week. Roy and I went to California the next day.
My dad had to be cared for in a home until August 5th when he went to be with the Lord. Family took turns taking my mother to see him and visiting him on a regular basis. My mom only missed 2 days because of illness. Thanks mom for being such a good example to follow. Thanks for all the prayers for our family at this time. Thanks to all the friends that visited with my dad. We will miss him, but we are so glad he is face to face with the Lord and no longer in pain or confined to the motorized chair.
Even with sorrow comes BLESSINGS. I got to spend a lot of time with my daughters and family along with my mom, sister, brothers and their families. Roy and I got to celebrate holidays, birthdays, BBQs, etc.
We went to Leatherbys in Sacramento and had ice cream treats. In the second picture the lady at head of table and the young man on the right is my oldest daughter and her husband. The young lady next to him is my youngest daughter.
Got to celebrate some birthdays. So thankful for this little life that is now 5 years old. Hard to believe it is the same girl as above. THANK YOU LORD for this miracle baby.
Celebrated my honey's birthday which is the 4th of July. My youngest daughter and step grand sons birthdays for the month of July were celebrated while we were all together. We also got to see some of California's sites.
Trip to the Oroville Dam
Getting to go to the pumpkin patches and watch grand daughter have fun picking out her pumpkins. Also it was so precious to see her with her great grandmother.
Getting to go to the Stanislaus County Fair.
A trip to the Columbia State Park Harvest Festival
Trip to Beale Air Force Base for the air show.
As far as my grandaughter is concerned this was the best part of Graffiti Night.
We got to see our grand kids take swimming lessons.
Got to see one grand daughter do ballet, My grandson and grand daughter do karate, and one of my other grand daughters go to vacation bible school.
